November 2009

Victor Nugyen

Victor is a senior at Niwot High School.

He is active in Key Club, and blood drive organization.  His academic interests include majoring in International Relations or Bio-chemistry and with an interest in aviation, he is considering attending the Naval Academy or the U.S. Air Force Academy. (The latter is, of course, the smarter choice. ed.--who is a grad. thereof.)

January 2010 Yew Hung Yeong is a Sr. at Niwot High School. He is in the IB program and created their recent brochure for the program. Born in Malaysia, his family moved to Australia when he was 12, and on to the US three years later. This is his third year at Niwot. He looks toward a future as a biochemistry major.
February 2010 Leah Saraceni is the President of the Student Body at NHS. She is a primary organizer of many Student Council events including: 2009 Homecoming, Jog for Jenny (that raised over $6,000 for Children’s Miracle Network), Dodge-ball and Sadie Hawkins dance (raised over $1,000 for CTO4 Teens), and Prom 2009. She is headed for CU in Arts and Sciences. Her major is undeclared and from her talk to Rotary, she already has a good understanding of potential political aspirations (She doesn't like them.)

Leah is given her Student-of-the-Month plaque by Niwot Rotary President Jo Kirkenaer.

May 2010 Molly Server is the May Student of the Month. She was the main leader of the Empty Bowls Dinner held on April 23, which raised over $2000 for Heifer International and hunger relief in Haiti. President Jo Kirkenaer presents her with her certificate.

She has finished her IB exams and is bound for CU Colorado Springs in the fall to study Biology.
