Calmer Waters:Alzheimers and Dementia
Jan 10, 2019
Barbra Cohn is a health writer, travel writer, and certified nutrition educator who offers support to caregivers, guiding them to make healthy food and lifestyle choices. After caring for her husband Morris who died from younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease, she has written a book to help caregivers and the person they are caring for experience more happiness, restful sleep, increased relaxation and inner peace.
Barbra has lived in Boulder since 1972, when she arrived as a CU student. She and her husband raised their son Ari and daughter Hillary here, and she is now the proud grandparent to four grandchildren. When Barbra isn't writing you might find her dancing at the Avalon Ballroom or hiking in our beautiful mountains.
Today Barbra will give a brief overview of her book "Calmer Waters: The Caregiver's Journey Through Alzheimer's and Dementia", and 10 easy ways to stay happy and healthy.
