                              Spotlight on ONE WORLD SURGERY:

Our Niwot Rotary Club has just sent $500, which was approved by the Foundation, to ONE WORLD SURGERY, based in Deerfield, IL. Founded by Dr. Peter Daly & Lulu Daly over 10 years ago in Honduras to provide high-quality surgical care. In that time, over 40,000 patients have had next to free surgery in Orthopedics, general surgery, ear, nose, throat, gynecology, spine, ophthalmology and urology interventions. Last Aug., I went with a medical team sponsored by Medacta, who provided all hip/knee hardware for 60 surgeries that week. This money will cover an entire joint replacement for someone in Honduras. Every day our team of 20 got up at 4 am, walked 1 mile through the forest to the surgery center and got ready for surgery. Thank you so much, the people there are so thankful for everything!! One surgery helps not only the patient, but their family, and also the community where they live. ............Deb Shumar, RN
