MAY 8, Saturday - for Rotary Day of Service, with the Longmont Clubs.  Starting APRIL 18 through May 8, RCN members will collect personal care items to benefit Colorado Friendship, HOPE, Safe Shelter and the Inn Between.  A more detailed email is coming when Clay learns how.
 
Collection bin locations:  Niwot Market and at Niwot High School
Items to donate (regular or travel size):
  • deodorant
  • body wash, soap, hair care
  • dental care products
  • body lotion, sunscreen, chapstick,
  • disposable razors, shaving cream
  • feminine hygiene products

May 29, Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. -- NBA Sidewalk Sale in Niwot.  RCN Booth to hand out water (easier than it sounds) and cookies, promote Club, and perhaps the Tasting Trail.  We will discuss signing up at the RCN Business Meeting.  See also Ron's email to members dated 5-4-21 for an on-line signup.
 
 
Facemasks
 
 
RCN has purchased Rotary-themed face masks.  If you would like a mask, please email Ron and we will mail one to you.  In return, we are asking that you make a donation to The Rotary Foundation.  This will benefit the foundation financially and will add points towards a membership in the Paul Harris Society.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Ron or Thom.

Giving Opportunities
 

King Sooper shooting victims.  Community Foundation Boulder County established a fund to support victims, their families, and our community, in partnership with 9News, the City of Boulder, The Daily Camera, iHeartMedia, The Colorado Healing Fund, Community First Foundation, The Denver Foundation, Longmont Community Foundation, Rose Community Foundation, Boulder Mennonite Church, Community Church of Lyons, Congregation Bonai Shalom, Congregation Har Hashem, First Congregational Church, First UMC of Lafayette, Islamic Center of Boulder and Westview Church.

The Boulder County Crisis Fund will support the needs of those directly affected and the needs of our community to heal from this horrendous event.

 

 
COLORADO WILDFIRE DISASTER RELIEF FUND: The fires may be out, but the need is still great. The Natural Disaster Response Committee is currently working with local Rotarians and contacts in affected areas to  to distribute donated funds. Donations can be made online or you can mail a check to Rotary District 5450, Subject Line: Colorado Fires, 5103 Dvorak Circle, Frederick CO 80504. THE POLIO PLUS SOCIETY was formed to encourage Rotarians to commit to a minimum of $100 per year to the PolioPlus Fund until polio is eradicated from the face of the earth. CLICK HERE to learn more.

Q1.  When and where does the Rotary Club of Niwot (RCN) Meet?
  A1 = The Rotary Club of Niwot meets weekly, on Thursday mornings at 7:30AM to 8:30AM, in the Left Hand Grange #9 building, at 195 2nd Avenue, or 2nd Ave and Franklin Street in the town of Niwot, Colorado
 
Q2.  Is there a RCN calendar of events and meeting speakers?
  A2 = Yes, the RCN has a website found at (www.niwotrotary.org).  There is a variety of information found on that site.  A Club Calendar can be found there with information about events and meeting speakers.
 
Q3.  What is the basic cost(s) or dues for the RCN?
A3 =  The quarterly dues for the Rotary Club of Niwot (RCN) are currently set at $175  for 3 months or quarterly in the months of July, October, January and April.  This $175 amount is to cover the required Rotary International Dues and the expense for providing breakfast at each Thursday morning meeting.  Additional costs or voluntary payments to the Rotary Foundation are separate and on-top of the quarterly dues. This includes the popular voluntary contribution known as “Every Rotarian Every Year”.
 
Q4.  What is the website called ClubRunner and how is it used by the RCN?
A4 = ClubRunner is an administration and communication software package that will enable clubs and districts to effectively: • Reach members • Improve communication between members • Better organize their club It is an online service comprised of powerful tools designed to: • Maintain your club data • Boost communications, and much more.
The ClubRunner site can be found online at (http://portal.clubrunner.ca/6885).
 
Q5.  How do I log in at ClubRunner?
A5 = All Rotary members will be issued a login name and password when join the RCN.  The Login Username is comprised of the first “letter” of your first name + your last name + 6885.  An example would be John Doe should use the log in username of (jdoe6885).  The password that you are given by the Club must be changed when you log in the first time.
 
Q6.  Generally speaking, as an RCN Member, what would I routinely use ClubRunner for?
A6 = The RCN ClubRunner site is very useful to routinely track your quarterly club membership payments, track your club attendance or access the rotary member’s email service.  The email component of ClubRunner is a fast and simple way to generate email communications or notices with other Rotary Club members or groups of members.
