The Eventualities of Life

Dan is the principal of Kapsak | Estes LLC.  His practice is devoted to all aspects of estate and business planning, with a special emphasis in elder law issues.  He is a member of the Boulder County Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Colorado. He is a member of the Elder Law, Tax, Probate and Trust Sections of the Colorado and Boulder Bar Associations and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).

As an ethicist, Dan is a member of the Colorado Health Ethics Forum and the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics.  His past service in health law and ethics includes work with the End of Life Taskforce of the Boulder Community Hospital Ethics Committee,

Boulder/Broomfield Hospice, and the Ethics Committee for Longmont United Hospital (past chairperson).

Dan is a lecturer with the National Business Institute in the areas of Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, Elder Law, Ethics, and Estate Administration, is a Certified Arbitrator with the Better Business Bureau, and is a member of the Boulder County Adult Protective Review team.
